If the University of Florida's new president, Dr. Bernie Machen, can give up his inauguration luncheon and donate the proceeds to those hurt by our hurricanes and even distribute the food himself, why can't President Bush do something similar with his inauguration spectacle and send the saved money to the tsunami victims of Southeast Asia? Although I have not voted for any of the Bushes, I would be very impressed by the president's generosity.
