Town Club holds charity game

  • GAINESVILLE BRIDGE CLUB: The International Match-point Scale (IMPs) was used to score the 14 1/2-table Mitchell Movement game under the direction of Ron Schoenau.
    Devora Seltzer and Mike Howard were first East-West with a huge score of 62; second, Bill Witt and Tom Young, 29; third, Pat Thompson and Marilyn Froscher, 27, fourth, Edna Walker and Betty Skelton, 22; fifth, Kirk and Nicole Becker, 19; sixth, Martha Krajick and Theresa Leschorn, 11.
    North-South was a first-place tie by Ray Lush and Reba Faison with Adrian and Pat Dovell, 45.82; third, John Donovan and Dolly McCarthy, 40.36; fourth, Bonnie Kraft and Sylvia Messer, 37.09; fifth, George Holstein and Patricia Turner, 28; sixth, Eric Wagner and Rosalie Bond, 18.55.
  • EASYBRIDGE!: A two-table team game was played resulting in Team 1 winning the event by 1 IMP.
    Team 1 winners were Colleen and Steve Goodfellow with Jerry Bodkin and Alice Morgan. Team 2 consisted of Hazel Cuddeback and Marjorie Green with Carolyn Lichty and Dave Pollick.
  • GATORBRIDGE: At the monthly Saturday evening game, 5 tables played a Howell Movement game.
    Winners were: first, Skelton and Walker, 59.90 percent; second, Jackie McCracken and Calvin Rowe, 57.81 percent; third, Denis and Nicki Whittaker, 56.25 percent; a fourth place tie by Lois Hinchey and Marion Bové with Wagner and Vivian Kantor, 52.60 percent.
    On Tuesday afternoon a five-table Howell Movement game was played under the direction of Carolyn Schoenau. Winners were: first, Evelyn Kleinsasser and Jon Shuster, 63.89 percent; second, Gregory Blair and Joan Goree, 57.41 percent; third, Hinchey and McCracken, 54.17 percent; fourth, Wagner and Kantor, 52.78 percent.
  • TOWN CLUB: Playing a five-table Howell Movement charity game under the direction of C. Schoenau, winners were: first, R. Schoenau and D. Whittaker, 61.51 percent; second, Wagner and Kantor, 56.30 percent; third, Hinchey and Walker, 55.78 percent; fourth, Bové and Froscher, 53.44 percent; and third in B Strata, Len Ringel and Ron Law, 51.23 percent.
    The American Contract Bridge League charity for the year 2004 is the Alzheimer's Association.
