Nader will siphon off votes

The Republican camp must be jumping for joy now that Ralph Nader has once again reared his unattractive head and announced his candidacy for president.
The American public - particularly those who, like sheep, blindly followed Nader in 2000 - deserve a complete and accurate summation of his financial backing. Only this can help clear up the doubts that many of us have about his motives.
It doesn't take much thought to realize that his presence in the race will siphon off many more of the potential votes otherwise going to the Democratic candidate than those lost by the Republican candidate. Likewise, it doesn't take much brain power to realize that the purported aims and objectives of the Green Party, which championed Nader last time, are much more aligned to those of the Democrats than to those of the Republicans.
I hope those who feel inclined to help Nader make his statement will realize that their vote for him is a vote for another four years of environmental degradation and unbelievable national debt that will be passed on to our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
