P.K. Yonge running back/linebacker Eric Rutledge committed to Florida on Sunday morning at the end of his official visit.

"It's always been a dream of mine (to play for the Gators), and I'm

excited," said Rutledge, who is 6-foot-1, 235 pounds and will start his

career in the backfield.

Rutledge, who was named The Sun's 2003 co-small-school defensive player of the year after recording 67 tackles and returning two interceptions for touchdowns, selected UF over East Carolina, where he visited last weekend.
