Time for Alachua County to elect a superintendent

Is it time for an elected superintendent of schools? In my opinion, if we had an elected superintendent, Dan Boyd would be our superintendent and who knows to what heights Alachua County Schools would have soared to by now.

I do know what we got when a board member cast his, anybody-but-Dan-Boyd, vote. We got Lawrence Marazza, the least eligible person to lead our schools on the cheap. Then in the next move we got Mary I'll-take-the-job-but-I-really-don't-want-to-be-here Chambers. I rest my case.

It is past time to have a superintendent that the people want instead of taking what we get. Actually, I don't know who will want the job and have to be the one that has to implement the new school zones.
