Coach Ron Zook told Cornelius Ingram he would redshirt him if he came to Florida. That means he would be ready to play in the 2005 season. Chris Leak will be a junior in the 2005 season.
No college player in the nation has the tools to unseat Leak. The earliest the Hawthorne superstar would have the opportunity to quarterback the Gators would be in 2007, at which time he would be a junior.
On the other hand, if Ingram elects to play for the Seminoles, the quarterback job likely would be his beginning his sophomore season, as FSU incumbent Chris Rix will be in his senior year next season.
However, should Coach Bobby Bowden redshirt him, Cornelius could be "the man" at quarterback for four years.
Whether at UF or FSU, this great athlete is sure to provide us with some outstanding performances.
