Krafts host Saturday evening game

  • GATORBRIDGE: At the monthly Saturday evening game at the home of Bonnie and John Kraft, 12 pairs participated in a Howell Movement game.
    Winners were: first, Mary Bailey and Pat Thompson, 60.22 percent; second, Gwen Dulaney and Marilyn Froscher, 58.37 percent; third, Denis and Nicki Whittaker, 56.81 percent; fourth, Mary and Neil White, 55.00 percent; fifth, Santosh and Viren Gupta, 53.93 percent; and third in B Strata, Bonnie Kraft and Greg Erdos, 48.30 percent.
    On Tuesday afternoon, 8 1/2 tables played a Mitchell Movement game under the direction of Carolyn Schoenau. Winners were: East-West, first, Jon Shuster and Evelyn Kleinsasser, 68.63 percent; second, Lou Sarbeck and Bailey, 53.81 percent; third, Gertrude Block and Marjorie Allen, 51.10 percent; fourth, Cathy O'Sickey and Betty Skelton, 48.26 percent; and first in C Strata, George and Marion Gillespie, 44.11 percent.
    Winners North-South were, first, Ronald Schoenau and Froscher, 58.21 percent; second, Len Ringel and Louise Edgell, 56.83 percent; third, Helen Collins and Marion Bové, 55.06 percent; fourth, Lois Hinchey and Betty Moore, 53.66 percent; fifth, Ruth Palenik and Estelle Hall, 49.58 percent.
  • GAINESVILLE BRIDGE CLUB: With 12 1/2 tables playing a Mitchell Movement game under the direction of R. Schoenau, winners were: North-South, first, Froscher and Moore, 64.77 percent; second, E. and Irwin Hall, 62.50 percent; third, Mary Newsome and Mike Bean, 54.36 percent; fourth, Ringel and Ron Law, 53.60 percent; fifth, Collins and Reba Faison, 51.33 percent; and first in C Strata, Kraft and Sylvia Messer, 50.00 percent.
    Winners East-West were, first, Zev Wajsman and Tom Doolittle, 63.11 percent; second, Shuster and Kleinsasser, 58.92 percent; third, R. and Gus Palenik, 56.64 percent; fourth, Edna Walker and Skelton, 51.22 percent; fifth, Parker Small and Jape Taylor, 50.70 percent; and first in C Strata, Charles and Esther Busch, 49.65 percent.
  • EASYBRIDGE!: With five tables playing in the novice game, winners were: North-South, first, Betty and Margie Roulston; second, Robin Whittaker and Gene Stump; East-West, first, Rebbeca Smith and James Maissen; second, Dick and Margaret Kowalske.
  • TOWN CLUB: Playing a 5 1/2-table Howell Movement game; winners were, first, Bové and Froscher, 64.06 percent; second, Taylor Wallace and Hinchey, 59.38 percent; third, John Donovan and Collins, 56.77 percent; fourth, D. Whittaker and Calvin Rowe, 53.65 percent; and second in B Strata, Wajsman and Ringel, 48.15 percent.
