Two GHS cheerleaders headed to Hawaii to take part in Pro Bowl

Amanda Goodwin and Lisa Swan have been selected to join an elite group of cheerleaders and dancers to perform in the 2004 Pro Bowl halftime show Feb. 8 in Honolulu, Hawaii. They will join hundreds of girls for a week-long stay in Hawaii.
The girls were selected All American Cheerleaders last spring during their competition season. Both girls were members of the Gainesville High School varsity competition squad as well as varsity football cheerleaders. Both girls are also dual enrolled at Santa Fe Community College.
Amanda, who is a senior, will be competing for college scholarship money in The National Scholarship Invitational while in Honolulu. The top winners in the cheer and dance divisions will be awarded scholarship money to the college of their choice.
Amanda is the daughter of Claire Jacobson, Gainesville and Sal Goodwin, Jacksonville. Lisa is the daughter of Mark and June Swan, Gainesville.
