Americans deserve a chance

If our country is in such an economic rut, then why would the president outline plans for immigrants to come into our country and work?
If we are so worried about terrorism, then why would we allow illegal aliens to travel back and forth from our country to theirs for three years - or any amount of time for that matter?
I guess this is just a way for him to get every immigrant to register so he can send them all back in three years anyway. Why do this when, in three years, we could have a lot less homeless people on the streets because we gave them a job instead? This just doesn't make sense to me.
Also, why would the president not start with his own country first? Let's start in Washington, D.C., homeless capitol of the world. Why not take all the homeless people who want to work and get themselves out of their situation and put them in a temporary home until they get back on their feet? If given the opportunity, I am sure they would not mind at all how much they get paid. They just need a jump start.
I think the President should worry about getting us put back on track. I don't see how this idea is supposed to be helping us out. There are Americans who are able to do some jobs that the aliens can do, and Americans are just as willing to do them as well.
