Florida continued its recruiting roll last night and tonight picking up two more critical commitments. First from cornerback McIntosh Nicolas last night and then from offensive tackle Jason Watkins tonight.
McIntosh Nicolas is a 6'2 corner with speed to burn. He is considered the fastest prospect in America, an accolade supported by the fact that Nicolas ran a faster 40 at the Gator camp than Xavier Carter. Nicolas played both sides of the ball in high school, but figures to concentrate on defense at Florida. This is the 3rd defensive secondary commitment for the Gators, who also boast commits from safeties Kyle Jackson and Tony Joiner.
Jason Watkins came down to Florida, Oklahoma and LSU before the big fella selected the Gators. Watkins is already in the 6'8 to 6'9 range and could grow to be as tall as 6'11. Jason should prove to be a formidable wall for defensive ends to contend with in college. He is the third offensive line commit for Florida in the last two days, joining Drew Miller, who selected Florida over Miami, Tennessee and others, and Jim Tartt, who picked the Gators over the Seminoles.
