UF women pick up second win of weekend

TEMPE, Ariz. - The No. 3 Florida women's swimming and diving team won 10 of 16 events Saturday in its second win in two days over No. 16 Arizona State. The swimmers competed in short course meters in UF's 164-127 win.
The Gators (9-1, 3-1 SEC) had nine NCAA automatic or provisional qualifying times and one NCAA diving zones qualifier.
Florida was strong in the 1,500-meter freestyle as the Gators took the top four places, each with an automatic or provisional qualifying time. Senior Sara McLarty swam her way to a first place finish in a time of 16:04.72, her fifth automatic qualifying time this season.
Junior Meredith Green finished in second with a provisional time of 16:29.15. Freshman Katie Ball finished third with a provisional time of 16:30.15. Redshirt junior Janelle Atkinson gave UF its fourth provisional time of the afternoon (16:42.91) to finish in fourth place.
