New studies enlightened me after writing first letter

In a letter (Jan. 30) to The Sun, I stated that traffic studies presented to the Citizen's Advisory Committee to the MTPO, of which I am member, showed problems with Southwest 34th Street near Archer Road, if SW 24th Avenue was paved.

At our committee's most recent meeting, which was held after I wrote that letter, newer studies showed that traffic in that segment was actually improved by paving SW 24th Avenue if it was also continued across 34th Street until its meeting with Archer Road, further to the east. I failed to consider that possibility when I wrote the letter, and I apologize for any confusion I may have caused on this issue.
