Boys basketball

  • R.J. WILLIAMS and SONNY LAWRENCE, BELL- The pair of senior forwards combined for 100 points, 54 rebounds, 21 steals and 12 assists in a 2-1 week for the Bulldogs.

    Girls basketball

  • TANISHA KEARSE and CIERRA GORDON, GAINESVILLE- Kearse, a senior center, and Gordon, a junior point guard, combined for 114 points, 74 rebounds, 18 assists, 12 steals and seven blocks in a 2-1 week for the Hurricanes.

    Girls soccer

  • DEFENSIVE FIVE, OAK HALL- Senior goalkeeper Rochelle Rubeis, sweeper Lizzie Paulus and defensive backs Nicole Schwager, Lindsay Schaefer and Danielle Driscoll have been tenacious all season, teaming up for 16 shutouts, while allowing only 20 goals in 24 games. This week the Oak Hall defense held Orange Park St. Johns to one goal, as the Eagles avenged an earlier 5-4 loss. The Eagles have scored 128 goals this season.

    Honorable mention

  • Boys basketball

    Robert Henry, Columbia - The junior forward had one of the final two scores that lifted the Tigers past Hawthorne 61-59 at the Bobcat Shootout. Henry tallied 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the contest.

  • Girls basketball

    Samantha Hitchcock, Santa Fe- The senior forward collected 14 points, five rebounds, five steals and two assists in a district win against Bradford this week.
