WEDDINGS

  • Pfahler-Radford

    Beth Pfahler and Blanton Radford were married Oct. 5 in First Presbyterian Church, Marietta, Ga. Officiating were Dr. John D. Wells and the Rev. Michael R. Wilson.

    The bride, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Pfahler, Gainesville, wore an organza A-line dress with cap sleeves and beaded bodice.

    Her attendants were Diane Cassaro, Kimberly Price, Stephanie Tabrisky, Luciania Cassaro, and Therese Cassaro.

    The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Patricia Radford, Acworth, Ga., and the late William Blanton Radford Sr., was attended by Lee Radford, David Hilts, and Robert Macaulay.

    The bride is employed by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Ga.

    The bridegroom is employed by Virtek Laser Systems, Ontario, Canada.

    After a wedding trip to New Hampshire, the couple will live in Atlanta.

  • Atwood-Galasso

    Stacey Atwood and Joe Galasso were married Dec. 14 in University City Church of Christ, Gainesville. Officiating was Gary Wyder.

    The bride, daughter of Mary Atwood, Middleburg, and the late Ken Atwood, was attended by Christina Wade, Joy Teton, Amber Wheeler and Kalie Galasso.

    The bridegroom, son of Jim Galasso, Crystal River, and Margaret Nordyke, Dawsonville, Ga., was attended by Philip Gamble, Jim Galasso, Kevin Nordyke and Ken Atwood.

    The bride is employed by the School Board of Alachua County.

    The bridegroom is employed by Professional Flooring.

    After a wedding trip to Aspen, Colo., the couple will live in Gainesville.

  • Browning-Ploskonka

    Marlaine Browning and David Ploskonka were married Dec. 22 in the Thomas Center, Gainesville. Officiating was Connie Ray, representing the Gainesville Friends Society.

    The bride, daughter of Tex and Ruth Anne Browning, Gainesville, wore a floor-length ivory lace gown hand-sewn by her mother. Her attendants were Heather Browning, Becky Ray and Monica Ramsey.

    The bridegroom, son of Jean and Ed Ploskonka, Orlando, was attended by Mark Ploskonka and Danny Browning.

    The bride is a graduate student at Indiana University, Bloomington.

    The bridegroom will be attending graduate school in the fall.

    After a wedding trip to the North Carolina mountains, the couple will live in Bloomington, Ind.

  • Jones-Fisher

    Lisa Lynn Jones and Kyle Jeffrey Fisher were married Aug. 3 in Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Atlanta, Ga. Officiating was Rev. Donald Barber.

    The bride, daughter of Bob and Gloria Jones, Chiefland, was attended by Kimberly Copenhaver, Pamela Jones, Julie Oakley, Stacey Adams and Katherine Copenhaver.

    The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zelinka, Grafton, Ohio and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Fisher, Amherst, Ohio, was attended by Benjamin Fisher, Matthew Rosenberry, Joseph Dike, Pat Puhl, Jeff Justin, Brian Seitz, Brad Meyer, Richard Copenhaver and Alexander Donovan.

    After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will live in Atlanta.

    Chuck Browskowski, Cape Coral, announces the engagement of his daughter, Amy Browskowski, to Dustin Walding, son of Rick and Donna Robertson, Alachua.

  • Heston Fleming May: son of Geoffrey and Carrie May of Gainevsille, on Dec. 27 in North Florida Regional Medical Ceter. He weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and measured 21 inches.   • Sarah Elizabeth Steadman: daughter of David and Anne Steadman of Gainesville, on Nov. 5 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 20 1/2 inches. Grandparents are Theresa Steadman of McKean, Pa.; Ruth V. Stokes of Winter Park; and Dr. James A. Stokes of Osteen.

  • Sarah Ellen Weber: daughter of Tommy and Ann Weber of Gainesville, on Dec. 27 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 21 inches. Grandparents are Tom and Mary Lou Weber of Gainesville and Betty Thigpen of Crestview.
