Ingram contained, but Hornets hold

BRONSON - Despite holding top-rated junior Cornelius Ingram to just four points, Bronson was unable to erase a 17-point halftime deficit and fell 65-62 to Hawthorne Friday.

The Hornets used a 26-11 second quarter effort to pull ahead, led by Rodrick Browning, whose team-high 15 points came on five three-pointers.

Senior guard Shane Schuler led the comeback for Bronson with 22 points and four rebounds.

  • BRADFORD 57, KEYSTONE 37: o Sophomore guard Ricky Gainey controlled things for the Tornadoes scoring 13 points, and added four assists and three rebounds in his first game up from junior varsity.

  • OAK HALL 76, ST. JOHN LUTHERAN 18: Oak Hall used a 31-5 first quarter run and 13 three-pointers to ease past St. John.

    Kittery Neale led the Eagles with 23 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals, and Courtney Lee contributed 14 points.
