Gainesville girl competes in Miss Junior Florida

Vanessa Willkomm, 16-year-old daughter of Olga and David C. Willkomm, recently won the title of Miss Junior Gainesville and will be competing for the title of Miss Junior Florida in Melbourne Saturday.
The winner of the state title will travel to New Jersey to compete for the national title of Miss Junior America.
Vanessa attends Gainesville High School and she is active in Gainesville JV football cheerleading squad, the Gainesville Competition squad for cheerleaders, modeling and SADD. Sponsoring Vanessa in the state pageant is her uncle and her aunt, Bruce and Carol Willkomm.
The Miss Junior America Pageant has existed for 20 years. Previous pageant winners include Tiffani Amber Thiessen on "Beverly Hills 90201.
