WEDDINGS

  • Sheppard-Brown

    Carmelitta LaShawn Brown and James Harvey Sheppard Jr. were married Oct. 26 in Compassionate Outreach Ministries. Officiating was the Rev. Larry J. Dennison.

    The bride, daughter of Virginia Williams and Harold Batie, Gainesville, wore an ivory satin gown with a Queen Anne neckline, full skirt and a detachable 12-foot cathedral train. Her attendants were Venus Brown, Meshia Jennings, Stacey Cason, Cathy Lewis, Lavonia Mack, Regina Hill, Meoshia McKay, Jakya Sheppard, Bria Brown and Eyllsia Mack.

    The bridegroom, son of Doris Livingston, Gainesville, and the late James Sheppard Sr., was attended by Ronnie Sowell, Chad Scott, Barry Hutchingson, Arthur Livingston, Keith Brown, Charles Wakely, Vernell Brown Jr., Eric White, Charles Lee, Willie Williams, Donald Buie III, Jerod Sheppard and Freddie Slater Jr.

    The bride is employed by Double Envelope Corp.

    The bridegroom is employed by the Alachua County School Board.

    After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Alachua.

  • Emprimo-Fuller

    Amy L. Fuller and Nathan A. Emprimo were married Nov. 2 in a private ceremony at Waimanolo Bay Park, Oahu, Hawaii. Officiating was the Rev. Richard Richman.

    The bride is the daughter of Donna and Bruce Fuller, Brandon.

    The bridegroom is the son of Patricia and Robert Emprimo, Gainesville.

    The bridegroom is a lance corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps., stationed at Kanehoe Bay, Hawaii.

    The couple will live in Kailua, Hawaii.

    Marjorie Belcher, Gainesville, announces the engagement of her daughter, Donna Marlis Belcher, to Reginald L. Perry, son of Kathleen Perry, Lake City.

    The bride-elect attended Florida A&M University, Tallahassee.

    The bridegroom-elect graduated from Lake City Community College.

    The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Wilbert Belcher.

    The bridegroom-elect is also the son of the late Clarence Perry.

    The wedding is planned for Jan. 4.

  • Franklyn-Marek

    Sadie Franklyn, Port Richey, announces the engagement of her daughter Nina Franklyn, to Cory Marek, son of Ray and Carla Marek, Gainesville

    The bride-elect graduated from Ridgewood High School, Port Richey.

    The bridegroom-elect graduated from Loften High School and Santa Fe Community College.

    The wedding is planned for Feb. 14.

    Denise L. Gentry, Montgomery, Ala., announces the engagement of her daughter, Kristen Denise Gentry, to Justin Price Thomas, son of Judy C. Thomas and Sam Thomas, Gainesville.

    The bride-elect graduated from Eau Gallie High School, Melbourne, and the University of Florida.

    The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late R. Daryl Gentry.

  • Sidney Ashton Bray: daughter of Marcus Ethan and Jennifer Norris Bray of Bronson, on Nov. 11 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 21 inches. Grandparents are Cliff and Jeannie Norris of Bronson and Morty and Wendy Bray of Live Oak.

  • Isaac Weylin Touchet: son of Jerry Wayne and Tanya Sue Touchet of High Springs, on Nov. 18 in North Florida Regional Medical Center. He weighed 9 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 21 inches. Grandparent is Ernie Roy of High Springs.
