Gatorsports counts down the top 25 games in the SEC for the 2010 season.
NO. 6 PENN STATE AT ALABAMA
When: Sept. 11.
Why it's must-see TV: These two programs staged some dramatic games in the 1980s but it has been awhile since they have played. Alabama is the defending national champion and Penn State should be a top 25 team when the Nittany Lions head to Tuscaloosa. This is one of the national profile games that will have the talking heads salivating.
All-time record: Alabama leads the series 8-5.
Recent history: It's been 20 years since the two teams played, a Penn State win. The first three games between the two were bowl games including the 1979 national title game in the Sugar Bowl won by Alabama 14-7. The two teams then played a 10-game series that ended in 1990.
Quick hit: This series was supposed to resume in 2004 and '05 but Alabama requested that the two games be moved back six years. They will play in Beaver Stadium next season.
