Florida president Bernie Machen will make his college football playoff presentation to the SEC's presidents and chancellors this morning in the final session of the league's annual spring meetings.
"We tried to work things out today so we can spend as much time as we want to spend (this morning) talking about football," Machen said.
Machen said he and the presidents will address the media after the presentation.
Machen did not give any details of his playoff plan Thursday.
"There are no specifics," he said. "It's a concept. Do we want to look at a playoff? There are more plans than there are Carter's pills. The plan will evolve if the people want to do it."
SEC commissioner Mike Slive has encouraged the presidents and chancellors to discuss possible playoff scenarios.
Slive said he does not expect a vote on a playoff proposal today.
Machen said his presentation would just be a first step toward a possible change in the future.
