There is good news and bad news for Florida's 2007 football team.

The good news is that wide receiver Andre Caldwell has decided to return for his senior season.

The bad news is that cornerback Ryan Smith has decided to be one-and-done.

Caldwell had 58 catches for 584 yards this season after returning from a broken leg suffered in the third game of the 2005 season. According to UF coach urban Meyer, Caldwell received good advice from his brother Reche, who left early and is now with the New England Patriots.

It is also a deep class for wide receivers in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Smith, who led Florida in interceptions this season, had told teammates he was ready to get out of school. Smith earned his degree at Utah last year which allowed him to transfer to Florida without sitting out a year.

Florida will have to replace three-fourths of its secondary if Reggie Nelson also declares early for the draft, which is expected.
