The conclusion of the 2019 class is still fresh in the minds of most Florida fans, yet Dan Mullen and his coaching staff remain out on the recruiting trail scouting prospective athletes to join the Gators.
The work put in to the 2021 class continues to pay off as the Gators landed a verbal commitment late Wednesday from Melbourne (Fl.) Eau Gallie athlete Dink Jackson.

A 6-foot-2, 185-pound linebacker, Jackson committed to the Gators over offers from Alabama, Miami and Florida State, telling 247Sports’ Blake Alderman that his childhood love of Florida helped the Gators secure his early commitment.
“UF has been a school that I’ve always dreamt about since i was a kid,” Jackson told Alderman. “Love the coaching staff and all that the program has to offer.”
With Jackson’s commitment, Florida’s 2021 class is ranked No. 2 in the nation by 247Sports, trailing just behind Miami in the way-too-early list.
