Reserve Florida offensive lineman Andrew Mike is leaving UF to become a graduate transfer at another school, the redshirt senior announced Wednesday on Twitter.
Mike is on schedule to graduate this weekend.
“I would like to extend my appreciation to the University of Florida, Coach Mullen, Coach Mac, Coach Muschamp for the opportunity to play and graduate from such an honored University,” Mike wrote on his Twitter account. “To the gator nation, thanks for the undying support through thick and thin.
“After much prayer, and consultation with my family and friends I am now seeking to continue my 5th year as a graduate transfer. I am blessed to have earned a degree and a lifetime of memories from The University of Florida. Go Gators.”
In his three-year UF career, Mike played in 27 games on special teams and in a backup role on offense.
