The Memphis Grizzles decided to fire coach David Fizdale on Monday of last week and there has been an outcry on social media from current and former players as well as coaches, all coming to Fizdale’s defense.
Former Pacer Stephen Jackson, went on to place blame on the Grizzlies’ front office for getting rid of ‘soldiers’ like Zach Randolph and Tony Allen and signing Parsons who ‘don’t care about the game or winning, but you expect a coach to make a miracle happen.’ Jackson’s premise centered around Parsons not earning his $100 million contract and Parsons fired back with a social media post of his own telling Jackson to ‘stop hatin’.

It should be noted that Memphis snapped its 11-game losing streak last night with Parsons out (knee) by beating Minnesota 95-92.

Around the NBA, Wizards guard Bradley Beal averaged just 13 points over three games last week, down from his season average of 22.6. One reason for Beal’s drop in production is John wall missing five straight games. The Wizards as a whole have struggled with the loss of their point guard, going 2-3 and have averaged three less points per game during the stretch.

Beal also took a hard elbow to the face from Sixers guard Jerryd Bayless on Wednesday but has not missed a game.

Celtics center Al Horford had 14 points, 11 assists and five rebounds in Boston’s win over Phoenix on Saturday and scored 21 in a win against the Sixers earlier in the week.

Lakers forward Corey Brewer got two steals in three of four games last week and continues to bring the energy off the bench for the young Lakers.

Knicks center Joakim Noah finished with three points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal in eight minutes of action during Monday’s 115-97 loss to the Pacers.

Mavericks forward Dorian Finney-Smith is hoping to return to action by the end of December. Smith has played in only eight games this season averaging just over 11 minutes a game.
